Just in the Center
The Podere Fangacci is geographically located at equidistance from all major historical sightseeing centres in Tuscany, making Fangacci the ideal starting point for a complete cultural experience.

 

Brolio Castle
The fortification on the next hill in red bricks with a tower and battlements in the Neo-Gothic style. The fifteenth- century walls, with an irregular pentagonal shape, are about 500 metres in perimeter and have big bastions from which several embrasures open. Several underground paths cross the building, and one of them can still be used. Inside the structure a XIV century chapel, St.Jacopo, with the tombs of the Ricasoli can also be visited.

 

Siena
Siena is situated at approximately 15 km from Fangacci and is a major tourist attraction. Here you can spend a day visiting the Historical centre, the famous Piazza del Campo (world famous horse race ‘Palio di Siena’, see link section what to do). Visit the Museo Civico with a collection of Sienese artistic and historical masterpieces, one of Italy's most important gothic public buildings. The Santa Maria Hospital, the Pinacoteca Nazionale and much more.

 

Firenze
Florence was the home of Cimabue and Giotto, the fathers of Italian painting, as well Pisano, Brunelleschi, Botticelli, Leonardo and Michelangelo. Their works, with those of other artists are gathered in several museums: the Uffizzi, the Palatina gallery, the Bargello Tower, the museum of San Marco… Great monuments: the Baptistry with its mosaics; the Cathedral, the medieval churches, Palazzo Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti, Palazzo Medici, Palazzo Davanzati...

 

San Gimignano
The city of ancient Towers.you can visit the museo d’Arte Sacra and the Museo Etrusco in Piazza Pecori where under the loggia, a collection of Etruscan archaeological finds from the area can be seen.

 

Arezzo
A charming hilly town in the east of Tuscany, Arezzo boasts ancient origins. It was one of the greatest Etruscan and then a Roman towns with a strategic position. It is an important cultural centre due also to it’s outstanding monuments, such as the Amphitheatre and numerous ruins. Arezzo is also famous for its foundries and the artistic manufactures of red-painted vases (the so called coral vases), known already in the Ancient Roman world.
